I would recommend them to rent a car, that will be very helpful, and to be very organized because time there's going very quick ☺️

2)Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, there is a lot of beautiful surroundings and there's Prainha Do Caniçal, very beautiful and comfortable beach for swimming!

Lovely, well-arranged apartment for 1 or 2 persons. I enjoyed the cleanliness and the little patio with a gorgeous view over the city! Lisbeth has been very helpful throughout my stay and always found a quick solution faced to minor inconveniences (need of a ventilator, internet not functioning, etc.) The neighbourhood is overly calm and the apt close to the city center (15 min walk) but uphill on your way back so take this into consideration. If needed, there are buses around and taxis are affordable from the city centre (4-6€/ride).

Very nice, clean and well equipped apartment just around 15 min by walk from Funchal city center. Contact with a caretaker of the apartment without any problems :)

We stayed in the apartment for almost one month. The place is nice, newly renovated and equipped with everything. It has a small terrace with a great view and I enjoyed my working days staying there spectating wonderful views of Funchal.
The area is great as well. Close to the center (10min walking) and quiet at the same time.
Many thanks to Lisbeth. She guided me with all I asked and was very helpful when I needed something.
I would love to return one day

I really liked the flat - even more than I thought I would since it was more roomy and open than expected. The balcony is sunny from late morning until evening and allows for sunbathing in complete privacy. The flat isn't too far away from the center and the shoreline, but the area is calm. Some of the streets you'll need to take to get to it are quite steep - you'll be a bit fitter by the end of your stay ;)
Lisbeth was most helpful as a Landlord!!

calm, since not quite in the center. Some of the streets are quite steep and you need to pay attention to disappearing sidewalks and passing cars - but that's not uncommon in Funchal.
